SIMULASI NUMERIK KARAKTERISTIK AERODINAMIKA PADA AIRFOIL NACA 4415 DENGAN MEMPERTIMBANGKAN GROUND EFFECT

Ground effect phenomenon is found when the lift-device such as wing, placed near ground. This influences aerodynamics characteristic whereby its appearance important to be investigated. work aims study influence of ground towards characteristion on NACA4415 airfoil by varying airfoil’s angle attack (AoA) well height proximity. Numerical approach conducted Fluent was carried out while steady assumption, moving wall boundary, and Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model were utilized. The outcomes represented lift drag coefficients. results showed that maximum 1.736 AoA 15o 0.0108 18o respectively. It also proximity affecting values . On 0.05 chord, obtained 0.8 chord at 18o. caused airflow underneath faster due revaling nozzle-effect, therefore pressure higher according Bernoulli’s formulation. other hand, related vortex generation in which more influental than height. hopefully beneficial initial reference Wing-in-Ground (WIG) craft design, particular selection.
